U.S. Labour Department Sues Hyundai for Alleged Child Labour 👩🔧
Today, the U.S. Department of Labour filed a claim against the Korean-based company, Hyundai in federal court to block the company from using illegal child labour in its supply chain in Alabama, USA.
It is alleged that the company's auto parts subsidiary, SMART Alabama, had a 13-year-old working up to 60 hours a week operating machinery that shapes sheet metal that was then used to make cars at a Hyundai plant.
